Hello, I’m Thoma. I grew up in the beautiful Mediterranean country, Albania, which is known for its stunning mountains landscapes and blue sandy beaches, before moving to New England.
When I picked up a camera 8 years ago, it was not with the intention to one day capture a couples most exciting and emotional day in celebration of their union. I have been living in New Hampshire for over 11 years, and I am still awed at its beauty. Seeing the panoramic New England landscape photography posted, compelled me to pick up a camera and capture my own piece of New England’s beauty to call my own. Photographing has not only helped build my character, but has opened my eyes to exploring and discovering new places, that I would have never thought to visit before.
Of course, I took my camera to Crete, Greece to capture the breathtaking Ionian sea in 2015 when I was attending my cousin’s wedding. The bride asked me to take photos during the ceremony and the reception, and as to not upset her on her big day, I agreed to snap some photos. Sorting through my photos after the trip, surprisingly, the photos that moved me the most were not of the sea, but of the heartwarming moments I captured of the couple on their big day. They sparkled! (Not like in the Twilight movies). The emotions they felt were clearly legible in the photographs, and I was overwhelmed with joy that I had the opportunity to capture these sacred moments. I want to have the honor to do the same for other couples, because I highly enjoy it.
Besides photography, I enjoy traveling, taking road trips with my wife, getting lost on these road trips, hiking, cycling and playing soccer (which I did more of before wife came in the picture!…its worth the trade .) Thank you for reading!
